In the shelter’s words
THIS animal listing is a COURTESY LISTING - not a 13th St Cat Rescue animal. See information about whom to contact in bio THANK YOU Meet Stockton – Your Future Lap Cat If you’re looking for a cat who truly loves people, Stockton is your guy. This sweet, affectionate boy soaks up attention and will happily keep you company—especially if there’s a cozy lap involved. Stockton has lived indoors his whole life and is well-mannered and litter trained. He’s a handsome gray-and-white kitty with a thick, soft coat and an even softer personality. Neutered, flea-free, and in good health, he’s ready to make himself right at home. Before a change in his family’s circumstances, Stockton lived with a child, a dog, and other cats, and was a loving companion in a busy household. Now, he’s patiently waiting for a fresh start with someone who will give him the love he’s always known. After all this time, Stockton deserves a home where he can be someone’s cherished companion again. If you want a loyal, people-loving cat who will be by your side (and on your lap), Stockton is ready to meet you. Please contact Sonja at 408-712-0158 to discuss a meet up and possible adoption.

Plan a visit with the source organization
To meet our rescued cats/kitten: we ask that you fill out an adoption application first. Once you submit an application, a volunteer will contact you. All of our kitties are in foster homes; some can be seen at the foster homes, or at an upcoming Adoption Fair. We ask for your understanding: We are an all-volunteer organization and many of us have full-time jobs outside of our volunteer activities; therefore, it may be a few days before someone can respond to your email. We always try to reply as soon as possible. The kitties are for adoption, not for sale. Adoption fee for kittens is $125 ($200 for two) to help cover some of our food and veterinary expenses. All cats and kittens are: vaccinated as appropriate for their age microchipped dewormed deflead tested for FELV (feline leukemia) / FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) spayed/neutered prior to adoption We will ask you some questions about your home and we will be glad to answer any questions you may have. Adopting a kitty is a long-term commitment; the average life span for a kitty is 15-20 years. Most of our cats are in foster homes with other cats. They get lonely and bored without the company of their own kind, just like people. We try to place cats that enjoy the company of other cats in a home where there is feline companionship. But we do have many cats that would be happy to be the only cat in your life! Regardless of how an animal comes to us, we provide food, shelter, and medical care. The animals do not live in cages but in volunteer foster homes. We usually know the personalities of the cats and kittens we rescue, so we can tell you which cat or kitten(s) might be the best match for you and/or the feline companion you already have. http://www.13thstcats.org/info/adoption
