In the shelter’s words

This tiny girl with an enormous heart and a whole lot of love to give is ready to steal hearts everywhere. Despite a rough start to life, this sweet girl is ready to turn the page and find the forever family who will show her just how wonderful life can be.Meet Amelia, an approximately 5 month old Chihuahua and Brussels Griffon mixed breed. Amelia currently weighs 6 lbs. and is expected to still remain a small-size reaching approximately 15 lbs. once fully grown.Ameila is considered to have medium energy and is a sweet playful girl. She is a little social butterfly that loves to join in on the fun and is ready for all of the play dates as she gets along well with kids and other dogs. It is unknown if Amelia would get along with cats since she has yet to meet any. As Amelia is so young and came from an unstable environment, she has not learned the ropes to her training skills yet. All of her leash, house, and crate training are in process. This little girl will do well with gentle guidance as she learns new routines, but she is eager to please and will learn with time.Amelia is just looking for a fresh start in a loving home. If you love small playful dogs and are ready to have the ultimate tiny sidekick, then consider opening your home to Amelia and give her the safety and security she has been dreaming of.* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Amelia is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.
