In the shelter’s words
Preston has come out of his shell, and this once-shy boy is now one playful pup! He loves a good game of tug, enjoys playing chase with his canine friends, and is happy to share the fun of chewing on the best pinecone he can find. He also enjoys going for walks and stopping to sniff all the interesting things along the way. Preston would like a more laid-back canine companion to share his adventures. He may be a little shy when meeting new people, but he’s happy to share kisses and affection once he feels comfortable. With a little patience and a loving family, Preston is ready to show off his fun-loving personality! Preston was born on 10/18/2024 and weighs about 34 pounds. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is looking for a loving, inside home where he can play, explore, and enjoy life with his new family. *************************************************************************** This pet comes with an implanted 24 PetWatch microchip and free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service. *************************************************************************** This dog is available for adoption at the Humane Society of McCormick County is SC for an adoption fee. All of our dogs are indoor dogs with outdoor privileges. To adopt, contact 864-391-2349 or info@hsmcsc.org. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 organization. To learn more, visit www.hsmcsc.org.

Our adoption process starts with an interview. We want to know what type of cat or dog they are looking for, their lifestyle, and their expectations. Then we set up a meet and greet either at the shelter, a pet store, or at their home. Then they fill out an adoption contract. We offer and encourage potential adopters to take the dog or cat home on foster-to-adopt for a few weeks before finalizing the adoption. Our adoption fee is $65 for cats and $125 for dogs which included spay or neuter and vaccinations and for dogs, it includes a microchip. Cats can be microchipped upon request.
