In the shelter’s words
Meet Ruby!Ruby is the definition of a gentle lady. Calm, affectionate, and wonderfully adaptable, she's just as happy curling up beside you for a cozy evening as she is racing around the yard with joyful zoomies. Once she feels comfortable, her playful and loving personality shines, making her an easy companion to adore. She gets along well with cats, offering a polite sniff before going about her day, and enjoys playing with other dogs once she's had a chance to settle in and understand her surroundings. While she can be a little shy at first, a little patience is all it takes before she's happily making friends and soaking up attention.Ruby's perfect day includes plenty of cuddles, a few playful zoomie sessions, belly rubs, tasty treats, and maybe even a trip to pick out a brand-new toy. One of her sweetest quirks is gently tapping you with her nose from behind just to make sure you know she's there. And if you happen to be watching a documentary, don't be surprised if Ruby sits beside you, watching the screen as if she's completely invested in the story!Like a young deer, Ruby may seem a little timid when you first meet her, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into a social, affectionate sweetheart with an adorable, bouncy run that's guaranteed to make you smile. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who combines grace, gentleness, and just the right amount of silly, Ruby is ready to steal your heart.
