In the shelter’s words

About MeMeet Monica, the sweetest cuddle bug you’ll ever meet. This puppy is a pro at snuggling—she loves cuddling and being in your lap, soaking up all the love she can get. Monica is still young and learning, but she’s already showing what a wonderful companion she’ll be with a bit of patience and consistent training. She enjoys her walks, taking time to sniff and explore the world at her own pace. Playtime is a favorite, especially with her beloved toy shark, but she’s gentle and never destructive with her toys. After a bit of activity, Monica is all about curling up with a cozy blanket for some downtime.Monica can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly. She’s been doing great with the two big resident dogs in her foster home after a slow introduction, so she could be a good fit for a home with other friendly dogs. She’s still working on getting comfortable with her crate, but she’s making good progress. She's doing great with no accidents if she's brought outside after being in her create. Like any puppy, Monica is learning the ropes, and she’ll thrive with someone who can offer her guidance and lots of affection. If you’re looking for a loving, playful pup who will fill your days with cuddles and joy, Monica is ready to meet you. Apply to adopt her and see how she earned her nickname "Sweetie"! WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED? Adoption applications must be completed, which include information regarding references and vet clinic information, DL #, names, etc. Reference checks are conducted and when necessary vetting information verified. Discussion about the animal interested in to best assure appropriate and proper placement is made, and educational information regarding how to manage a multi-dog/animal household, slow and proper introductions and the importance of a shut-down period to help the animal acclimate to new surroundings. A "meet and greet" with the animal is required and whenever possible all residents of the household should be present. Home checks may, but not always, be necessary. After adoption applications is approved a contract is required, where we also stipulate that if for any reason the adopter determines they no longer want or can care for the animal we require it be returned to us, with the exception of documented bite history or potentially dangerous or dangerous dog designations. Adoption fees vary, but are comparable to or less than other local rescues and typically are $300 or less for a canine and $150 for a feline.
