In the shelter’s words

PATCHY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: PATCHY Best Guess for Breed: Mini Schnauzer Best Guess for Age: 5 years as of Oct. 2026 SEX: female Approximate Weight: 9.6 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: SHELTER. Patchy needs a foster or forever home to come to the DC area! Special adoption considerations: Because Patchy is shy, she MUST go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes. PATCHY is Looking For: Hi. I am Patchy. I have had a rough start in life and was rescued from a hoarding situation where my friends and I weren't well cared for. But I hear I am a Lucky Dog now. It gives me hope! I am looking for a loving forever family who has TLC in store for me. Because of my rough start in life I am a little scared so I look forward to having doggie friends nearby to help show me the ropes. My dream is to grow strong and give you all my sweetness and blossom into a spirited pup! What do you say? Will be you my human and come on this rewarding journey with me? I hope so. Please apply below to adopt me! What the Shelter Staff Says About Me: Patchy is still learning to walk on a leash. She is very nervous and doesn't like to be touched. She sat under the shelf in the play yard the whole time she was outside. What My Foster Says About Me: We will update once Patchy has spent time in foster. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog . Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.
