In the shelter’s words
Slade — Playful, Sweet & Always Ready for a Lap! Slade is your typical fun-loving kitten who enjoys all the wonderful things that come with being young, curious, and full of energy! Toys to chase? Absolutely!Things to explore? Of course!A little kitten mischief? Well, that's practically part of the job description! But Slade has another side to him, too. When all that playing and exploring is done, this sweet boy loves nothing more than settling into your lap for some pets and a cozy nap. About Slade Sweet and affectionate Loves to play Enjoys all the usual kitten shenanigans Loves pets and attention Happy to curl up and sleep on your lap Needs a kitten buddy Takes a little time to adjust to new thingsSlade has that wonderful combination of playful kitten energy and sweet, cuddly affection. He enjoys chasing toys, exploring his surroundings, and finding ways to entertain himself. But when he's ready to slow down, he's more than happy to climb into your lap and settle in for some quality cuddle time. Of course, Slade isn't always the bravest guy when something new comes along. He takes a hot minute to get used to new things. New places, unfamiliar surroundings, and changes to his routine may leave him feeling a little unsure at first. But give him some time to get comfortable, and he'll be ready to show off that playful, affectionate personality. A Kitten Buddy Is a Must!Slade needs another kitten in his forever home.He can be adopted with another kitten or join a family that already has a friendly kitten looking for a playmate.Having a buddy gives Slade someone to wrestle with, chase around, explore alongside, and curl up with when all that kitten energy finally runs out. A feline friend can also help him feel more comfortable and confident as he adjusts to his new surroundings. The Perfect HomeSlade would love a family who appreciates both sides of his personality—the playful little troublemaker and the sweet lap-loving cuddle bug. A friendly kitten companion is required A family willing to give him a little time to settle in Plenty of toys and opportunities to play Lots of pets, affection, and attention An available lap for those all-important kitten napsSlade may need a little time to figure out his new surroundings, but once he's comfortable, you'll have a playful little guy who enjoys all the fun of being a kitten and loves having someone to cuddle with when the day is done. Give him a kitten buddy, some toys, a little patience, and a comfortable lap...Slade will happily take care of the rest!

the first step in our process is an application. The questions on the application are designed to determine if the pet would be a good fit in this home. We contact the applicants veterinarian to verify they have a good history of previous (or current) pet care. We meet the applicant at Petsmart or at their home to allow them to interact with the pet they are interested in adopting. If all goes well the adoption is finalized. We have an adoption contract, requiring regular vet care, indoor homes, return to us if it doesnt work out, etc. Our dog adoption fee is $175, cats range from $80 for older cats to $125 for kittens
