In the shelter’s words
COURTESY LISTING - Please contact person below with inquiries. ~2 years old. Good with kids and dogs. Not good with cats. Jennifer Hendricks Six Mile, SC jenn62776@gmail.com 864-633-6957 Date Posted: 02/12/25 Kota is a young long haired female German Shepherd who my daughter rescued from the road. She is chipped but the original owner had rehomed her and she ran away from the second home. Neither wanted her back. She is loving, follows basic commands, very high energy and an excellent traveler. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GSRA DOG. ONLY CONTACT THIS INDIVIDUAL ABOUT THIS DOG. THE CONTACT HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH GSRA AND GSRA CANNOT ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS DOG.

Plan a visit with the source organization
We require an application to be filled out on our website - http://gsdrescue.org/index.html After the application is submitted a Vet Check, Phone Interview, and Home Visit are required to receive approval for adoption. Once approval is granted then the applicant and a GSD match is made then a trial will take place (usually 1 week). The adoption fee is $300 and an adoption contract is required at the time of the trial.
Confirm availability, fees and the meeting address before traveling.
