In the shelter’s words

Bonnie may be small, but she is ready to steal your heart faster than Bonnie and Clyde ever stole the spotlight! This adorable 4-month-old female Chihuahua mixed breed pup is a tiny girl of around 4 pounds with a short black and white coat and a whole lifetime of love to share. She is expected to be a small dog of somewhere under 25 pounds when fully grown. Bonnie came into rescue with her sibling Clyde, and now this sweet girl is ready to find a forever family of her own.Bonnie is a young, playful puppy who is good with dogs and children. With her small size and big potential, she is ready to learn, explore, and discover all the wonderful things the world has to offer. Bonnie has not met a cat, so her relationship with cats is unknown at this time. Like any young puppy, she will benefit from gentle introductions, positive experiences, and plenty of opportunities to build confidence as she grows.House training, crate training, and leash training are all in progress as Bonnie learns her new routines. She will thrive with a family prepared for the time and commitment that comes with raising a puppy, including consistent training, regular exercise, socialization, patience, and positive reinforcement. Although many dogs become reliable with house training, accidents can still occur while adjusting to a new home environment.Bonnie may be a little bandit when it comes to stealing hearts, but she is looking for a family who will love her for a lifetime! If you are ready for a pint sized partner in crime for cuddles, playtime, and plenty of happy memories, Bonnie could be your perfect match. * When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Bonnie is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.
