In the shelter’s words

Kenny has captured all of our hearts. He was rescued from the streets by a kind woman and taken to her veterinarian. He was very thin, but after a few weeks he filled out and has become such a handsome boy. Kenny spent a month at her vet before we were notified about him. At that point, he had gone blind. He's been to the vet for a check-up, and we know it is not high blood pressure so we are taking him to a specialist in a couple of weeks hoping we can find what caused him to lose his sight. In the meantime, he is happy and safe in foster care where he is kept in the office of our director. He is affectionate and loves to sit behind her in her office chair while she works. He loves to be brushed and is even playful. He will need a very special home, so if you have experience with blind animals or are willing to learn, we would love to hear from you. Of course, Kenny will forever be an inside kitty. Please remember: Unless otherwise specified, all our kittens and cats are strictly indoor pets. If you’re interested in adoption, please visit straylovefoundation.org and complete an adoption application. Every rescue in our care receives comprehensive vetting, which includes: A combo test Deworming Spay/neuter procedures Vaccinations Microchipping We take every possible step to ensure their health and happiness, giving them the best chance at a long, fulfilling life. While we do everything in our power to provide healthy rescues, it's important to note that some animals may have genetic health conditions we cannot predict (since we don’t have their family history). Additionally, medical tests—though highly reliable—can occasionally yield false negatives. Unexpected health issues may arise, either before or after adoption, but thanks to our thorough vetting process, the likelihood of a long and healthy life is very high. Additional adoption details: Transportation fees, if applicable, vary based on distance and expenses. Home checks may be conducted. Our standard tax-deductible adoption donation is $198. For special breeds, uniquely colored, or exceptionally adorable rescues, we may request a higher donation to help cover vet expenses. Can't adopt? Consider donating, sponsoring, or volunteering! Every form of support makes a difference. Tax-deductible donations can be made via PayPal using info@straylovefoundation.org, or by clicking the donate button on our: Facebook page Website homepage at www.straylovefoundation.org
