In the shelter’s words
Ambrose was given a most special “gift” of a sponsored dentistry to remove rotten teeth—and what a difference it has made in his life! He has gone from lethargic and ill to feeling happy and healed in just a few days! Although he is a senior cat and has only four (canine) teeth left in his mouth, he is moving easily and nosily around his foster home, exploring the corners and laying in the sunshine. He is affectionate with humans, and tolerates other cats as well as dogs. We hope he will have many more years to enjoy his life with a family. PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at FOACinfo@gmail.com. All adoptions begin with an application, found under the Adoption Application heading on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption. We reserve the right to deny adoptions.

Begin with an application to adopt. Other pets in household must be spay/neutered, current with rabies vaccines, dogs need to be current with HW testing and heartguard. Fees range between $75 and $300. We follow up on spays/neuters for pets under six months, and the fees include spay/neuter. Contract requires it. Adults are adopted out already spayed/neutered. Pets must be returned to FOAC if adoption ends.
