In the shelter’s words
Hi, I'm Leonard! These days, I'm healthy, happy, and ready to find a forever home where I can leave the past behind and focus on all the good things life has to offer. I'm a sweet boy who has come a long way and still greets the world with hope, trust, and a loving heart. I enjoy spending time with people, making new friends, and soaking up all the affection that comes my way. More than anything, I'm looking for a family to call my own and a place where I can feel safe, loved, and cherished. One thing you'll quickly discover about me is that I'm resilient. No matter what life has thrown my way, I've never stopped believing that brighter days were ahead. Now I'm ready for those brighter days to begin. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a gentle spirit and a heart full of love, come meet me at M'Shoogy's. I can't wait to show you what a wonderful best friend I can be.

We want to meet you and make sure we are making the right match for your situation as well as for the animal. Email or call us about which animal you are considering and we can make an appointment for you and the animal to meet. Visit the Adoption Information page at www.mshoogys.org to fill out our adoption application and email it to one of our volunteers. You can also print a copy, fill it out, and bring it with you to M'Shoogy's during our hours of operation, which are Saturdays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Please note that if you are applying to adopt a dog, we usually require that you have a fenced-in yard except in special situations. The cost to adopt includes shots and the cost of spaying/neutering. If you are adopting a dog we also ask that you purchase 6 months of heartworm preventative. It is sold by weight. If you check around, you'll find it is the lowest cost adoption service in the area.
