SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Small Animals: To prioritize the health and well-being of our small animals, Scott County Humane Society no longer performs routine spay or neuter surgeries on guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice, or other small companion animals(except for rabbits). These procedures can carry a higher anesthetic and surgical risk for small animals. Each animal is instead evaluated individually to ensure the best possible care. HELP TO SPONSOR THIS SMALL ANIMAL BY MAKING A DONATION! SCHS is a 501(c)-3 nonprofit organization that is volunteer-run.
