In the shelter’s words

Meet Kat: Your Next High-Energy Adventure Partner! ⚽ Hi there! I’m Kat, and I’m ready to find my forever team! If you love the loyalty and focus of a working breed packed into a medium-sized frame, I’m your girl. A Little About Me I’ve officially left my shy days in the dust! Today, I’m a high-drive, confident, and independent girl who loves to stay busy. I have serious ball drive and will happily entertain myself for hours with a Jolly Ball in the yard—though I’d love it even more if you were on the other end of a throw! Because I’m driven and smart, I would thrive in an active home, working home, or sport home. Whether we're going on long hikes, working on advanced obedience, or playing endless games of fetch, I’m ready to put my brain and energy to work. I’m also a work in progress! I am currently working on my house-training skills, so I’ll need a patient human to help me establish a solid routine in my new home. Note: While my true, vibrant personality is front and center now, I might press "pause" briefly when meeting brand-new people or settling into a new environment. Give me just a short moment to read the room, and my fun, high-octane self will be ready to roll! Dog Compatibility I get along great with other furry friends! Having a confident doggy brother or sister to run around with is awesome, but my independent streak means I’m also great at doing my own thing. My "Pawsitive" Stats & Health I’m fully vetted and ready for my next chapter! ✅ Spayed ✅ Up-to-date on all vaccines ✅ Microchipped Heartworm Status: I am currently Heartworm Positive, but don't let that scare you! I am on the "slow kill" treatment method, which is inexpensive, simple, and very easy to administer right at home. My Dream Home I’m looking for an active, experienced handler or family who understands high-drive dogs and wants a partner for outdoor adventures, training, or structured fun. If you’re looking for a motivated, fun-loving companion with a work ethic to match her playfulness, I’m your girl! Ready to add a high-powered best friend to your life?
