In the shelter’s words
Meet Jacob 1.5–2 years old | 85 lbs | Plott Hound · Lab · Weimaraner mixJacob is a big, beautiful boy with an even bigger heart. At first meet, he can be a little shy—especially if approached head-on—but once he feels safe, his gentle, affectionate nature shines through. With people, Jacob has never bitten and is a truly kind soul who just needs a moment to warm up.When it comes to other dogs, Jacob is friendly and curious. He can be a bit enthusiastic in his interest, but he’s not pushy or aggressive. In fact, around bossy dogs at the dog park, Jacob typically chooses to back off rather than engage. He’s recently begun showing interest in play and is still learning how to be a dog’s dog—something that will only grow with positive, calm social experiences.Jacob never seeks out trouble. With attentive handling and respectful dog introductions, Jacob does beautifully.Jacob is the kind of dog who bonds deeply and will reward patience with unwavering devotion. If you’re looking for a gentle giant with a soft heart, Jacob may be your perfect match.
