Read Nelson's biography below to learn what he needs in a home placement and how to apply. Name: NelsonAge: DOB: 02/19/2019Sex: male, neuteredBreed: Husky, Aussie, Cattle Dog mix per his DNA resultsWeight: 74 lbsHousebroken: yes & crate trainedKids: teens and olderOther dogs: ok with other dogs, currently lives with a female HuskyCats: no catsHousing: We are looking to put him in a house with backyard space.Personality & what we know: Nelson has a full story to share, and we want to ensure his next move is his forever move. If you have a calm home and a heart ready for a loyal companion, please apply. Nelson is a good dog who simply finds a busy or high-energy environment stressful. Because he is a sensitive soul, he is seeking a tranquil, adult-only home (or one with older teens) where life is calm and the routine is steady. He is healthy, neutered, and current on all his vaccines. While he would be thrilled to be your one-and-only, he also does well with other female dogs. His Ideal Match:Nelson needs a family that is experienced with "dog body language" and can provide him with a low-stress environment. He is a loving boy, but he thrives when his personal space is respected and his surroundings are peaceful. In a quiet home without the sudden movements of small children, Nelson’s best side really shines. For 6 years, Nelson lived with his family, and then they had a baby and Nelson is not adapting well to the baby now that it is a toddler. Medical: healthy. He's been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. How to apply: please visit OUR website at www.animalsrule.org and fill out our online application of interest To see more pictures and video of Nelson, please check out and follow our Facebook and Instagram pages Nelson can be seen by appointment only, with an approved application. How to Adopt from Animals Rule. 1.Find a dog that interests you and submit an application from our "Application to Adopt" icon on our website at www.animalsrule.org. If the dog's picture is on our website it is still available. Our website is ALWAYS current. Elaborate on your application. The more info you give us & explain things the better your chances. We hate yes no answers 2. Come to our adoption event each Saturday from 11am-3pm. If you have another dog, bring it with you. 3. If you live far, please bring pictures (either printed or on the camera) of your home/yard/fencing/gates/& where the dog will sleep, etc. You are welcome to e-mail us pictures before you make the drive for review if you live far. 90% of the time we will still do a home check. 4.You will be interviewed in the order in which your application was submitted. If you do not submit an application before arriving, you are at the end of the line. Submitting an application does not commit you to a dog. You can change your mind at any time. We will review your application and make a decision. If all your ducks are in a row, you can adopt & take the dog home. Come prepared!! E-mail is the best way to communicate with us! info@animalsrule.org is our e-mail address
