In the shelter’s words
Bertrand is a 5-month-old tuxedo kitten with an enormous personality. This lovable goofball is always ready for a game with a wand toy--or one of his favorite homemade paper-towel toys--but he is every bit as affectionate as he is playful. Bertrand adores being held and will happily fall asleep in your arms like a baby. He loves nuzzling against your face and hair, sitting on your head, and curling up close while sharing his beautiful purr. When he isn't being silly or snuggly, you may find him sitting very properly with his little paws crossed. Bertrand has some focus tremors and a distinctive high-stepping gait, but these are just small parts of the wonderfully unique kitten he is. The vet suspects he may have mild cerebellar hypoplasia or hypoxic brain injury from birth. He does not need medication, and he is likely to live as long and healthy a life as any other kitten, but he may need to have heights blocked off for his safety. He will also need to be an indoor only cat his whole life. Bertrand becomes very anxious when left alone and finds comfort and confidence in his playmate, Eko. They are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together. Bertrand's ideal family is looking for a playful, deeply affectionate cat with a ton of personality--and has room in their hearts and home for his best friend, too. Bertrand will bring endless laughter, devoted companionship, and an abundance of affection to the lucky family who welcomes him and Eko home.
