In the shelter’s words
Meet Kirka! At 12 years young, Kirka is a beautiful brown tabby with a heart full of love and an irresistible determination to share it! Kirka came to us as a stray, a little worse for wear. Thanks to her microchip, we were able to locate her family, but sadly, despite saying they would come for her, no one ever did. Now this sweet senior girl is hoping for a second chance with someone who will love and cherish her for the rest of her life.Kirka absolutely adores attention and isn't the least bit shy about asking for it. In fact, it's nearly impossible to keep her in her cage when you visit because she's so determined to come out, rub against you, and soak up every bit of affection she can get!Kirka has some ongoing digestive issues that are being medically managed. She will need an adopter who is prepared to provide continued veterinary care and give her the extra TLC she deserves. Additional medical information is available on the back of this cage card.Despite everything she's been through, Kirka's loving spirit shines through. She's not asking for much, just a comfortable home, a caring person, and all the affection her little heart desires.

Adopters fill out a 2-page questionnaire, interview with a staff person, and pay the adoption fee. We are in the process of transitioning to "open adoptions" with few formalized requirements. The full adoption fees are approximately $160 for dogs and $110 for cats, but we have regular 'specials'.
