In the shelter’s words

Adoptable in: MAGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: Unknown, likely yesGood with kids: Yes, dog savvy childrenCrate trained: YesHouse trained: YesPenny is a big, goofy girl whose favorite hobbies include lounging, napping, and perfecting the art of relaxation. By day, she's a professional couch potato. By night, she's a deluxe, oversized throw rug with a heartbeat. While her energy level is generally low-key, don't be surprised if she occasionally finds the motivation to investigate a squirrel, rabbit, or passing bird. Food is the way to Penny's heart, and she's always happy to accept treats, whether she's earned them or not. Luckily, she's smart, responsive, and takes verbal direction well.Penny gets along with other dogs but appreciates a slow introduction, as she can be a little shy and reserved when meeting new friends. Once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality shines through. She would do best with a laid-back canine companion who shares her love of naps, or even a cat willing to compete for the title of Household Snoozing Champion. Dog-savvy children who understand gentle interactions and respect personal space would also be a great fit. This well-mannered girl knows that bathroom business happens outside, settles comfortably in a crate for a few hours when needed, and sleeps soundly through the night. Her dream setup? A cozy bed right next to yours, where she can keep watch over her family while enjoying maximum comfort. If you're looking for a loyal companion who asks for little more than a soft bed, a few treats, and a family to love, Penny may be your perfect pooch!*Penny is part of our Foster to Adopt (FTA) program.*Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted.
