All inquiries should be directed to the owner, not Yolo County Animal Services. Meet Canela, an 11-month-old female Pit Bully with a sweet heart, playful spirit, and so much love to give. This post comes from a place of deep care and heartbreak, as Canela’s family is facing serious financial and housing hardship and wants nothing more than for her to be safe, loved, and properly cared for. About Canela Breed: Pit Bully Age: 11 months Color: Brown & white Gender: Female Spayed: No Vaccines: Up to date Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: No Living Situation: Both indoors and outdoors Other Pets: Has lived with dogs Behavior & Temperament Children: Friendly Visitors: Very excited and affectionate; jumps up for attention Personality: Loving, happy, playful, and eager for human connection Training Needs: Young and energetic; would benefit from consistent training and structure Handling: Does not allow food or toys to be taken away and should be fed separately Bite History: None — she has never bitten anyone Health Notes (Transparency Matters) Canela has been seen by a veterinarian. She is very underweight despite eating well and having high energy. No illness has been diagnosed, but additional veterinary testing was recommended and could not be pursued due to financial hardship. She will need a home that can provide ongoing veterinary care and monitoring to help her thrive.
