In the shelter’s words

Paige...approximate birthdate May 7th, 2025 Facts About Me Breed: Domestic short hair Color: Tortishell Age: 1 year Sex: Female My Info: Spayed Shots Up to Date Good With Cats House-trained Good with older children My Story: Originally thought to be destined for barn life, Paige charmed the shelter staff, and they knew they shouldn't release her; she was too nice, too gentle. But she was scared and timid, and needed a foster home to help her come out of her shell. She waited and waited, until someone finally had space for her. She arrived. And then she hid. Was this a mistake? Was it too much after all that time in the shelter? No. Not at all. It took a few weeks initially, but Paige has really thrived in foster care. She loves human attention, playing with the wand toy, exploring the house, the sunlight coming in through the windows, and playing with the other cats in the house. This is what she waited for all along. And now she's ready for the next step. Paige is looking for a quieter home with a patient owner who can see past her shyness and see the wonderful cat that she is. She does fine with older children and friendly felines, but she would also probably be fine if she were the only cat so long as she got plenty of attention from her family. If you are interested in Paige, please contact me at heather.n.eldridge@gmail.com for an application. Thank you.**All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. All animals will be spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV or heartworm, given age-appropriate boosters and rabies, dewormed, flea treated, and anything extra that is needed to give this animal a wonderful forever life in a permanent home. Adoption fees are usually $50 for cats and between $150-$250 for dogs, unless the pet is sponsored or we are running a promotion. Please visit our website at sheltertohome.com for information on our adoption process.**
