In the shelter’s words

Meet Ethel: A Sweet Soul Ready for Her Golden Years Adventure If you're looking for a gentle companion to share life's simple pleasures, then sweet Ethel may be the perfect match for you. This lovely girl is enjoying her retirement years and is ready to find a quiet forever home where she can spend her days feeling loved, cherished, and safe. Ethel has a calm, easygoing nature, but don't let that fool you. She still has a playful side and enjoys having fun with her people! Whether it's a little playtime in the yard or a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood, Ethel is always happy to be included. One of Ethel's favorite things in the world is attention from her humans. A few gentle pets, kind words, and a cozy spot beside you are all it takes to make her tail wag. She gets along fine with other dogs too, especially those who respect her personal space and don't get too much in her face. After all, a lady deserves a little peace and quiet! Ethel dreams of a home with a fenced yard where she can wander, sniff, and investigate every interesting smell at her own pace. This fall, she would love nothing more than to join you on walks through colorful foliage, taking in the crisp air and admiring the beautiful leaves as they change. She believes there's no such thing as too many sniff breaks! And when the adventures are over? You'll likely find Ethel curled up on the couch right beside you, enjoying a cozy evening binge-watching I Love Lucy and soaking up all the love and companionship she can get. Ethel is truly a doll. She has so much love left to give and is simply looking for that special person who will treasure her through her golden years. In return, she'll provide endless companionship, gentle affection, and a grateful heart. Let's help Ethel find the quiet, loving forever home she's been waiting for.
