In the shelter’s words

Meet Gene — Big Personality, Bigger Heart! Part puppy, part cuddle bug, and 100% certified VELCRO DOG! ❤️ Meet Gene, an adorable Flat-Coated Retriever mix puppy with a whole lot of spunk, an enormous personality, and a heart that's somehow even BIGGER than he is! Gene is a fun-loving, playful little guy who enjoys romping around with his sisters, chasing toys, and getting into all the silly puppy shenanigans you'd expect from a happy, energetic boy. But here's Gene's little secret... He's actually a SNUGGLE DOG disguised as a rambunctious puppy! ❤️ Sure, he loves a good game with his sisters, but what Gene REALLY wants is to be wherever YOU are! Sitting on the couch? Gene's coming! Working at your desk? Gene's supervising! Trying to relax? PERFECT! Gene has been waiting ALL DAY for this moment! And if there's an available lap, you can bet this big little boy is going to find his way into it! Gene hasn't quite figured out that he's growing into a bigger dog, and frankly, he doesn't see why that should matter. Laps are for sitting, people are for loving, and personal space is highly overrated! This affectionate little sweetheart has so much love to give. He's the kind of puppy who will play his heart out and then happily curl up beside you, perfectly content just knowing his favorite person is close. Gene is looking for a forever family who appreciates a playful, spirited puppy with an extra-large helping of affection. Someone who doesn't mind having a four-legged shadow and a lifetime supply of puppy kisses! Gene's philosophy on life: Play hard, love harder, and NEVER let a perfectly good lap go to waste! ❤️ Looking for a best friend who will love you with his WHOLE heart? Gene is ready to be your adventure buddy, couch companion, and most devoted little shadow. Big boy. Big personality. Even BIGGER love.
