In the shelter’s words

#A5794731 Meet Buddy, a handsome 1-year-old German Shepherd mix who is a gorgeous example of everything Shep lovers adore! ❤️ With his rich caramel coat, long floofy tail, and perky ears always at attention, he certainly has the regal Shepherd look - but underneath that handsome exterior is a soft and sensitive soul. All this sweet boy really wants is gentle pets and lots of verbal praise, eagerly soaking up every bit of attention and affection you’re willing to give. Just like his breed, Buddy is smart and independent, happiest when he can romp around and explore before coming right back to his person for some love and connection. If you’re looking for a young, handsome Shepherd boy with brains, sweetness, and plenty of personality, Buddy may be your perfect match! -1 year 1 month old brown and black German Shepherd mix -56 pound neutered male -up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 8/11/26 as a stray -teen puppy still, but easygoing and eager to please - could use a little refresher on leash skills, but knows basic commands like sit -appropriate w/ other dogs through the fence, so could make a great little brother!
