In the shelter’s words

Mac is a handsome one year old Pit mix with a gorgeous taupe-colored coat and stunning eyes to match! This big boy has a happy-go-lucky spirit and a wonderful mix of playful energy and laid-back charm. Mac loves exploring all the interesting scents in the park, meeting other dogs through the fence, and - most of all -chasing a ball! He clearly enjoys the game and may just become a Fetch champion with a little more practice. After a little exercise, Mac is happy to settle down beside his favorite people for some easygoing quality time. While Mac loves people, he shows a little TOO much interest in nearby cats, so we think he’d be best in a cat-free home. On the bright side, he already knows Sit and seems like the kind of smart, eager pup who would love learning more with his forever family. Fun, handsome, affectionate, and ready to be your new best friend … Mac has so much to offer! Come meet this wonderful boy soon, and see if he’s the one to win your heart! The adoption fee covers the spay/neuter surgery, a 1-year rabies shot, an fvrcp shot (feline distemper/upper respiratory vaccine), test for feline aids and leukemia, deworming, and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. Phone: 770-214-3590. Please note: The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
