In the shelter’s words

Meet Darla! Small Package, Big Personality! Looking for a best friend who fits comfortably in your car, takes up just the right amount of couch space, and still has plenty of personality to go around? Darla is a 5-year-old spayed Pit Bull mix weighing in at a very manageable 36 pounds! Darla may be petite by Pittie standards, but don't let her size fool you—this girl has places to go and balls to chase! She enjoys playing with toys and will happily chase after a ball. Fetch champion in the making? The tryouts are officially open!Darla is a smart cookie, too! She knows “sit,” takes treats gently, and is ready to show off her good manners. She can pull a bit on leash despite her smaller size, but a harness can help keep your walks more comfortable. Darla may be open to a canine buddy, but a meet-and-greet is recommended to make sure everyone's a good match. At 36 pounds, Darla is the perfect size for road trips, neighborhood strolls, playtime, and snuggling up after a busy day. She's proof that you don't need a giant dog to have a giant place in someone's heart!Come meet Darla! She's ready to trade shelter life for car rides, cozy naps, and a forever family to call her own.
