In the shelter’s words
Ralphie is a 2-year-old boy with a playful spirit and a love for the great outdoors! This active guy enjoys running around, playing with other dogs, and having fun with his favorite toys and balls. And guess what? He’s even figured out how to entertain himself by playing ball indoors! Ralphie is housebroken and crate trained, and he’s working on improving his leash skills. He gets along well with other dogs and would really enjoy having a canine buddy to run and play with. A fenced-in yard would be a wonderful bonus for Ralphie, giving him the freedom to stretch his legs, burn off some energy, and enjoy all his favorite outdoor adventures! Ralphie can be shy around new people and may need a little time to feel comfortable, so a patient family who lets him settle in at his own pace would be ideal. He may not be the snuggly type, but he likes to keep tabs on his people and will happily follow you around to see what you're up to. He just likes knowing his favorite humans are nearby! Another bonus? Ralphie doesn't shed, although he'll need regular grooming to keep his coat looking and feeling its best. If you're looking for a fun-loving companion who enjoys playtime, outdoor adventures, and the company of another dog, Ralphie might be your perfect match! With a little patience, a playful home, and a family who appreciates his independent personality, this sweet boy is ready to find his forever home. Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 11-3 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person. Plan a visit with the source organization
If a particular pooch has caught your eye or if youâre searching for a new furry family member, take a few minutes to complete our online adoption application or stop by our Adoption Events to visit with our adoptable pups. Our application review team will contact you as they process your application and check with your references. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received, but our primary responsibility is to find the best home for each individual dog and the best match for you and your family regardless of application order. We want to see that every animal and family are well-suited as a forever match. Our adoption fees vary by the animalâs age and specific breed. All adopted dogs will receive vaccinations against distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus, as well as flea/tick treatments and de-worming. Dogs who are too young to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated against rabies will receive vouchers to one of our local veterinary partners. Please contact us with any additional questions! We are available by phone at 847-566-6799, through our website, or through direct messaging on Facebook. Weâre happy to answer any questions and work with you as you search for your new family member!
