In the shelter’s words
Meet Rebel: 80 Pounds of German Shepherd Chaos & Cuddles Rebel is a 6-year-old German Shepherd who apparently missed the memo that he's supposed to be middle aged. This guy is operating on full puppy mode 24/7. Zoomies? Yes. Toy enthusiast? Absolutely. Professional car ride passenger with his head out the window like he pays taxes? You bet. His previous owner says he's good with other dogs, but Rebel would still like to schedule a formal sniff interview, so dog tests are required. Think of it as canine Tinder, but with less ghosting. Cats? Potentially! Slow introductions are the key because Rebel believes everyone should immediately be his best friend, and not all cats appreciate 80 pounds of enthusiasm arriving at Mach 5. He loves adults but will need a home with older kids. We'd want the whole family to come meet him so everyone can make sure the vibes are right. A few important Rebel facts: -Neutered -Microchipped -Up to date on vaccines -House trained -Crate trained -LOVES car rides -Loves playing outside -Has enough energy to power a small village Rebel's dream home is with an active family ready for adventures, playtime, walks, and helping him channel his inner tornado into fun and appropriate activities. He's basically a furry gym membership with ears. If you're looking for a loyal best friend, adventure buddy, and part-time comedian, Rebel is ready to report for duty. Interested in adopting? Interested adopters must fill out an adoption application. We verify that current pets are UTD on Rabies vaccinations and spayed or neutered. If the applicants rent we verify with the landlord that they are approved to adopt a pet. Adopters must fill out an adoption contract and sterilization agreement if the pet is not already altered. Pets that are not altered can only be adopted out to residents of Warren County or a surrounding jurisdiction. The adoption fee for cats is $15 and the fee for dogs is $30. The adoption fee does not include the cost of spay or neuter. If the animal is not altered adopters are required to have the pet altered within 30 days of adoption or by the time it reaches 6 months old.
