In the shelter’s words
Onyx came to Paw Parent with her babies. All but one got adopted and it would be fantastic if they could find a home together with her son Moji. She took quite a while to warm up since she was rescued from the streets of LA and didn't trust people. She is very sweet and makes the cutest chirping sounds when she is busy walking around. She gets along well with other cats and is overall very mellow and quiet. We haven't heard her meow once since she is here. Poor thing must have had a terrible accident or someone hit her on the bridge of her nose, which got broken and is now in a right angle. But thank Goodness it doesn't affect her breathing and well being. She's probably about 2 years old, but it is a guess, since she is a street rescue. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. Please call 661-724-0642 or email us at pawparent@gmail.com if you would like to meet her.

Plan a visit with the source organization
After someone has found a pet of her or his liking on our site and contacted us we will make sure to get back to that person as soon as possible. We require a potential adopter to fill out an application. If the application is satisfactory we will contact the prospective new parent to set up a time to meet with the pet. We also do home checks to make sure that the house or apartment the pet will go to is safe. The pet will be brought to your home at the time of the home check and if everything looks goes well the pet will be left with you. We are asking for an adoption fee and we also will have you sign a contract. We allow a two week trial period during which the money will be refunded if it turnes out to not be a match. After the two week period the adoption fee is not refundable.
Confirm availability, fees and the meeting address before traveling.
