In the shelter’s words
COURTESY LISTING - Please contact person below with inquiries. ~2 years old. Good with kids and dogs. Cats TBD. Betsy Burrell, Spartanburg, SC timburrell@charter.net 864-621-2452 Date Posted: 02/12/25 Ginger is a very sweet and smart dog. She walks well on a leash. She would be great with someone who wants a dog that will jog with them. Her owner recently passed away and she needs to be rehomed. She has had her rabies vaccination and tested negative for heartworms. She is on the heart worm preventative pills. The vet said she seemed like she could be trained for search and rescue or similar work - or just be a loving pet. A backyard would be nice for her. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GSRA DOG. ONLY CONTACT THIS INDIVIDUAL ABOUT THIS DOG. THE CONTACT HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH GSRA AND GSRA CANNOT ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS DOG.

Plan a visit with the source organization
We require an application to be filled out on our website - http://gsdrescue.org/index.html After the application is submitted a Vet Check, Phone Interview, and Home Visit are required to receive approval for adoption. Once approval is granted then the applicant and a GSD match is made then a trial will take place (usually 1 week). The adoption fee is $300 and an adoption contract is required at the time of the trial.
