In the shelter’s words
Bertie has spent some time with kids now and we can say she is kid friendly. Below is her revised bio. Bertie is housebroken, crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. She does an excellent job matching the energy of her canine companions, making her an easy and enjoyable addition to many households. With her medium energy level, Bertie loves to have fun, especially when water is involved. Swimming is one of her favorite activities! But after playtime, she’s just as happy curling up in your lap (she’s convinced she’s a lap dog, and honestly, we agree). Bertie’s easy going temperament and affectionate personality make her a wonderful companion for a variety of homes. She’s great with kids and enjoys being around people, though she does tend to prefer women and male dogs. Bertie is ready to bring her sweet personality and big heart into yours. Age: 2 years Weight: 47lbs Temperament: Gets along with male dogs, good with kids. Prefers female humans and male dogs Training: Housetrained, crate-trained, has basic training Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention Email for questions: sonaligokhale@yahoo.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.
