In the shelter’s words

Meet Amy - a little ray of sunshine with the sweetest heart! Amy is a petite hound mix, perfectly sized at about 28 lbs, who was born around July 2023. Her story began in a tough place -- growing up outdoors with 17 other dogs and little human love or care. Thankfully, Barkville Dog Rescue came to her rescue and since then, Amy has been learning just how wonderful life can be! Despite her rough start, Amy has blossomed into a gentle, playful, and delightfully silly girl who&#39s sure to steal your heart. She can be a bit shy at first, but once she feels safe, her goofy, tail-wagging personality shines through -- and she&#39ll have you smiling every single day. Amy would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and another friendly dog to show her the ropes and boost her confidence. She&#39s great with people, kids, and other dogs, walks beautifully on a leash, and enjoys nice strolls around the neighborhood. Amy is also spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, house-trained, and crate-trained -- the total package! Now, this sweet girl is ready to find her forever family -- one that will give her the love and joy she&#39s always deserved. If you&#39re interested in adopting this beautiful girl, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.
