In the shelter’s words
Best Match: May be a good match for first time adopters Could join a calm home with older kids May be okay with cat friendly dogs May be okay with other cats Needs to be indoor-only Friendly, affectionate gourmand Poe is looking for a home with people who enjoy playtime, pets, and treats. Poe is a little guy with a large presence. He loves to accompany his people about the house, "helping" them with their chores. He is particularly quick to help out in the kitchen, where he likes to explain that he is a master taster with a sensitive palate. However, despite his claims, it is best that he sticks with cat food and cat treats. Poe loves playtime in the mornings and again at night before bed. He likes to sleep with his favorite human in the house, but is quick to get up and eat breakfast, and engage in morning playtime. He also loves his heated bed, preferring to nap in it in close proximity with his housemates- but sometimes prefers a lap! Poe is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV, but positive for FIV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, please complete our Adoption Inquiry form below. A note about Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV): Cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives and make wonderful companions. The virus can't be given to humans, and doesn’t spread easily between cats, so they can safely live with FIV-negative cats. We often house them together at Cat Town! With simple care, FIV-positive cats thrive. Keeping them indoors, feeding a balanced diet, and scheduling regular vet checkups (about every six months) helps them stay happy and healthy for years to come.
