In the shelter’s words

MODESTO, CA: Mary’s story began in a large cat colony, where she learned to survive the outdoors. When she was first rescued, she was understandably terrified — the world had not always been kind to her, and everything felt scary and new. But Mary is braver than she knew… Once Mary moved into a loving foster home, this beautiful girl began to blossom. Day by day, her walls came down. The shy colony cat transformed into a sweet, affectionate companion with the most delightful personality. Now Mary seeks out attention, relaxes in cozy blankets, and gazes at you with those striking green eyes that seem to say, “I’m home.” Mary is playful, gentle, and deeply loyal once she trusts you. Mary would thrive in a patient home that understands her journey and gives her a little time to feel safe — because when she does, you’ll discover an incredible, loving soul. From outdoor survivor to pampered princess, Mary is proof that second chances change everything. Could you be the forever family she’s been waiting for? Mary was born in approximately April 2024. She has been spayed, is up to date on her shots, and is good with other cats. This is a Courtesy Post, and Mary is with the Cat Network of Stanislaus in Modesto, California. For more information, please contact Monica at adopt@catnetworkofstanislaus.org or 209-735-0604. Visit their website at https://catnetworkofstanislaus.org/ . Please Note: This cat has not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cat’s status with their rescuer and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.
