Meet Hazel! Hazel is a sweet, affectionate girl who is settling beautifully into life in a loving home - but can't wait to spend forever with you. Hazel has a serious talent for cuddling and loves nothing more than curling up in a lap for a long, cozy nap (snoring included!) but she will also happily go to her crate on her own for a nap. She’s a little shadow who loves following her people around the house and being part of whatever they’re doing.When she’s not snuggling, Hazel enjoys running around the yard, going for neighborhood walks, riding in the car, and spending time with kids and other dogs. She’s a smart girl, too! Training will be a breeze - she’s already learning commands like sit and come, is working on her potty training, and is comfortable in her crate. Hazel came into rescue with some hair loss, which her vet has evaluated and treated. With continued medicated shampoo treatments, she’s on the right track.With her loving nature, happy spirit, and endless enthusiasm for cuddles, Hazel would make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a devoted companion. She has so much love to give and is ready to find the people she can call her own. Could Hazel be the missing piece of your family?

Once we receive your application an adoption counselor will take a look and reach out with any questions. The team will check personal, vet references and check with your landlord if applicable. Your adoption counselor will then set up a time to talk with you and your family (or anyone else involved in the adoption process in your home). This call is a good time to ask any questions you have. Once your application is approved, you will be connected with the foster of the PIP(s) you are interested in. From start to finish, this process can take anywhere from a few days to over a week (so please be patient!). If everything goes well and you and the foster agree that the PIP you want to adopt is a good fit, we will then finalize the adoption. Adoption fees are $325 for adults and $375 for puppies. All dogs will be up to date on age appropriate vaccines and spayed / neutered if old enough. If not old enough adopters can come back to our vet to have it covered in fee. It must be done by the time the dog is 6 months old.
