In the shelter’s words
11/1/2026Alli is an owner surrender looking for a new home.Hi! My name is Alli! I am a beautiful 6 year old flashy fawn girl that is an owner surrender due to my owner going to live in a long term health facility and unable to care for me any longer. I am bonded and need to be adopted with my littermate, Tyson XV, which means double the Boxer love for you! I am described as friendly, active, smart, playful, and affectionate! My brother and I get along great with an occasional tussle, but I have not had exposure to other dogs besides him. I have never lived with a cat so it is unsure if I am feline friendly. There were no kids in my home but I am said to be kid friendly and very loveable and want to lick everyone! I am house trained, crate trained, went to obedience training but no follow through afterwards, eat Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach dry dog food Salmon flavor, and sleep in the house at night! When the humans must be away I am fine and my brother and I keep ourselves entertained or nap. When outside I have good behavior and do not dig or attempt to jump fences/gates! Some of my favorite things are riding in the car, playing and tussling with my brother, food, affection, and activities to keep me busy! If you think my brother and I would make a great addition to your family, contact the rescue today because we are waiting to meet you!

The Process to adopt a dog through Austin Boxer Rescue is as follows: Fill out an Online Adoption Application below. Your application will be reviewed and sent to a volunteer in your area. The volunteer will contact you to schedule a home visit within one week. Normally, a volunteer would come to your house for a home visit, but until further notice, visits are being done virtually. After your home visit is complete and you are approved you can begin meeting dogs. The Adoption Coordinator will assist you in this process. Please note: The application process begins immediately once an application is submitted and approvals tend to occur quickly. Please do not submit an application unless you are ready to take home a dog. ABR does not have the space or capability to hold dogs, therefore, dogs are adopted out on a first-come-first-serve basis. If you are not able to proceed with a home visit when contacted by an ABR volunteer then your application will be filed away. We will ask you to resubmit your application if you wish to adopt later date. Every dog adopted will have the following: Current on vaccinations and dewormed Spayed or neutered Will be micro chipped Will be treated for heartworms and/or on heartworm prevention Any additional medical problems will be treated and paid for by the rescue.
