In the shelter’s words
What if the best years of her life are still waiting for her? Meet Grey Mama. For years, she quietly survived outside as part of a small colony of just five cats. She was trapped, spayed through TNR in 2019, and returned to the only life she had ever known. Recently, Grey Mama had to have one of her eyes removed. But something unexpected happened during her recovery... She fell in love with being an indoor cat. ❤️ Instead of wanting to go back outside, she has embraced the comfort, safety, and love of a home. She's an absolute LOVE BUG who wants nothing more than to be close to her people. She's estimated to be 8–10 years old, and during surgery we discovered she doesn't have many teeth! That's why her little tongue is always sticking out. We always thought her adorable "blep" was just part of her personality. Now we know it's one more thing that makes her uniquely perfect. Grey Mama has spent so much of her life simply surviving. We'd love for the rest of her life to be about living! Soft beds, gentle hands, full bowls, and knowing what it feels like to truly belong. Could you be the one to give this sweet one-eyed girl the happily-ever-after she has waited so many years for? Please message us if you'd like to learn more or think you might be the family Grey Mama has been waiting for. Even if you can't adopt, sharing her story could be the reason she gets the second chance she deserves. ❤️

We have an extensive application process where veterinary references are checked (we require all current and past animals have been altered and that the client shows a history of good vet care) and we has a number of questions targeted at encouraging the adopting family to really consider if they are ready financially and emotionally to support an animal life long. We also try to match the right animal with the right home with consideration to the adopters previous animal experience, energy level, and general personality. After reviewing and approving and applicant (on paper), we meet with them and all members of their house hold including other resident dogs. We offer one week trials to ensure this decision is in the best interest of both human and animal. If all parties are confident upon meeting, then we have a contract which also states that if any anytime they are unable to keep the animal, that they will return in to our organization. Adoption fees vary from $100-275 based on age, size, and breed, with $175 as an average.
