In the shelter’s words

Flippy is an adorable, affectionate Black Lab mix weighing about 70 pounds. Born, we believe in 2023, he is pure sunshine in dog form! This boy is super sweet -- the kind of gentle, loving soul who wins over everyone he meets! Flippy is very friendly with dogs and adores kids ... he wants to be everyone&#39s friend! This awesome boy&#39s journey hasn&#39t been easy. Flippy was on a very urgent list at the Bartow County Shelter and came heartbreakingly close to losing his chance at a happy life. We are so incredibly grateful we pulled him -- he deserves all the love and attention in the world. When we picked up Flippy, we could tell that this poor boy had been very neglected and underweight. But with proper care, he quickly recovered. Now, all he needs is a loving home. Even though, he went through so much, his positive outlook on life and cheerful spirit has never left him. Flippy is not only adorable -- he&#39s also smart. He picks up new tricks quickly and is walking nicely on the leash. He&#39s housebroken and crate-trained, making him an easy addition to any home. This sweet boy would thrive with a nice backyard to explore, a furry friend to play with or kids to shower him with affection. He has a medium energy level -- playful and fun, but not over the top -- and he would be grateful for daily walks and adventures. This awesome boy is a true lovebug, who enjoys life and every new experience with joy and curiosity. It feels like he has left his past behind and is soaking up as much happiness as he possibly can. Flippy is microchipped, neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready for a forever family who will adore him as much as we do. Could that family be yours? If you think Flippy might be the one for you, we&#39d love to hear from you! Please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.
