In the shelter’s words

Born in mid-July, Mookie is a small terrier mix boy who arrived on 9/5/26 weighing in at just about 4 lbs. He has now grown to 13 lbs as of Oct 9th. He is currently in a foster home where he is learning all about the world around him. Mookie is expected to grow into a compact little guy weighing at approx 20-30 lbs. Mookie is as cute as they come, with a beautiful brindle coat that makes him stand out from the crowd. Even though he's small, he has plenty of personality packed into his little frame! Mookie will do best with a family who is home often and can give him lots of time, attention, and positive experiences as he grows. Meeting new people, seeing new places, and getting used to everyday sights and sounds will help him become a happy, confident, well-rounded dog. A family who enjoys including their pup in daily life will be a perfect fit for this little guy. Like any puppy, Mookie is still learning his puppy manners and working on his potty training, and he will need a family who will continue his training as he grows. He is a smart boy and is already learning sit. When he's done exploring for the day, Mookie loves nothing more than curling up close to his person for some cuddles. Mookie would love a family who will spend plenty of time with him, keep up his training and socialization, and spoil him with love. This little guy is ready to bring big joy to his new home! The adoption fee of $550 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm, and any other necessary medical treatment to ensure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe the breed, since our pups all come from shelters, we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed! *Please note that we are a foster home-based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.
