In the shelter’s words
Van Gogh — A Little Vulcan Ear & a Whole Lot of Kitten Fun! Van Gogh came to Heartland from a rural animal shelter, bringing along plenty of kitten energy and one very distinctive feature—his ear! This handsome little guy has what we like to call a "Vulcan ear." And no, there's nothing wrong with it. That's just Van Gogh being Van Gogh!It gives him a little extra character, and we think it makes him pretty darn adorable. Now this sweet, playful boy is ready to find a forever family who will love him exactly as he is! About Van Gogh Sweet and affectionate Loves pets and attention Loves to run and play Enjoys all the usual kitten shenanigans Full of playful kitten energy Sports his very own Vulcan ear Needs a kitten buddyVan Gogh is all about enjoying life!He loves running around, chasing toys, playing, exploring, and generally doing everything a happy kitten should be doing. If there's fun to be had, Van Gogh is ready to participate! But don't think this little guy is too busy for affection.Van Gogh loves his pets! He enjoys attention from his people and is more than happy to soak up some love between his kitten adventures. A Kitten Buddy Is a Must!Van Gogh needs another friendly kitten in his forever home.He can be adopted with another kitten or join a home that already has a playful kitten looking for a buddy.Having a feline friend gives him someone to chase, wrestle with, explore alongside, and share all those important kitten adventures. And with as much as Van Gogh loves to run and play, having a buddy who can keep up with him is definitely important! The Perfect HomeVan Gogh would love a family who enjoys an active, affectionate kitten and appreciates a little extra personality. A friendly kitten companion is required Plenty of toys and room to run and play Lots of pets, love, and attention He hasn't been around dogs, so we don't know how he would feel about them A family who appreciates his one-of-a-kind appearanceVan Gogh may have started his journey at a rural animal shelter, but now he's ready for something much better—a home filled with love, toys, and plenty of kitten adventures. He doesn't need to be perfectly ordinary to be absolutely wonderful. And that little Vulcan ear? Well, we think it just adds to his charm. Give him a kitten buddy, some toys, plenty of pets, and a loving family...Van Gogh is ready to live long, prosper, and play!

the first step in our process is an application. The questions on the application are designed to determine if the pet would be a good fit in this home. We contact the applicants veterinarian to verify they have a good history of previous (or current) pet care. We meet the applicant at Petsmart or at their home to allow them to interact with the pet they are interested in adopting. If all goes well the adoption is finalized. We have an adoption contract, requiring regular vet care, indoor homes, return to us if it doesnt work out, etc. Our dog adoption fee is $175, cats range from $80 for older cats to $125 for kittens
