In the shelter’s words
Hi, I'm Champ! Life hasn't always been easy for me. I was found running loose on a golf course, scared and unsure who I could trust. It took a little while for people to catch me, but only because I thought I was out there surviving on my own. Turns out, they were trying to help me all along. Because of my breed, some people make assumptions before they even meet me. But if you take the time to get to know me, you'll find a friendly, loyal guy who just wants someone to call my own. I'm ready to leave survival mode behind and trade it for belly rubs, walks, and a comfy spot beside my new best friend. Could that best friend be you

We want to meet you and make sure we are making the right match for your situation as well as for the animal. Email or call us about which animal you are considering and we can make an appointment for you and the animal to meet. Visit the Adoption Information page at www.mshoogys.org to fill out our adoption application and email it to one of our volunteers. You can also print a copy, fill it out, and bring it with you to M'Shoogy's during our hours of operation, which are Saturdays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Please note that if you are applying to adopt a dog, we usually require that you have a fenced-in yard except in special situations. The cost to adopt includes shots and the cost of spaying/neutering. If you are adopting a dog we also ask that you purchase 6 months of heartworm preventative. It is sold by weight. If you check around, you'll find it is the lowest cost adoption service in the area.
