In the shelter’s words

Sweet Paisley! This lovely girl has a heart full of sweetness and a whole lot of love to give. Paisley came to us with her litter of puppies after her previous owner was unable to provide the care they needed. She was a wonderful mama, perhaps even a little too good at it, happily letting her puppies walk all over her! Now that her mom duties are behind her, it’s Paisley’s turn to be someone’s spoiled girl. Paisley has remained a sweet, easygoing companion with a soft and gentle nature. While shelter life is starting to weigh on her a bit, she continues to greet new people with a happy heart and is always willing to make a friend, especially if pets are involved! She has done wonderfully with handling and meeting new people, and she appears to have some good potty habits, although it’s always a little tricky to know for certain in a shelter environment. She also walks well on a leash and knows quite a few basic cues! When it comes to the finer things in life, Paisley appreciates a good hard bone, stuffies, leisurely strolls, and a little outdoor adventure with her favorite people. She recently joined us for her very first Miles & Mutts hike and was an absolute dream! She did great on the trails and clearly appreciated the one-on-one time and connection. Paisley has done relatively well around other dogs, but she can find particularly rowdy or talkative pups a little overwhelming. She would likely appreciate canine companions with a mellower personality who match her easygoing energy. We are happy to arrange a dog meet-and-greet prior to adoption to help make sure everyone is a good fit. More than anything, Paisley is hoping for a cozy bed, a spot on the couch, and someone who doesn’t mind sharing their personal space with a professional snuggle buddy. After being such a good mama, we think it’s about time someone makes her the center of attention. Paisley has so much love left to give, and she deserves to spend the rest of her days being just as loved in return!
