In the shelter’s words

Meet Petunia – Your Sweet, Quirky, and Loyal Companion Petunia is a charming tuxedo girl with a gentle, laid‑back personality and a heart full of love. She thrives as the only pet in the home, where she can feel safe, relaxed, and adored. With her calm nature and affectionate spirit, she’s the perfect match for someone looking for a peaceful, devoted companion. Petunia loves toys she can chase and is a passionate bird‑watcher—whether she’s sitting at a sunny window or “hunting” birds on TV. She may also surprise you with some impressive mousing instincts! One of her cutest quirks? She loves to hop into the bathtub whenever you’re in the bathroom, waiting patiently for you to turn on the tap so she can take a drink straight from the faucet. It’s her own little ritual. While she’s not a big fan of being picked up, Petunia absolutely adores chin scratches and being close to her humans. Her love language is quiet closeness—she’ll happily snooze beside you on the couch or curl up near you at bedtime, offering all the warmth of companionship without being demanding. Petunia makes an excellent work‑from‑home buddy, providing calm, comforting company throughout the day. Although she can be shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly and enjoys gentle attention once she feels comfortable. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate cat with a quirky personality and a whole lot of love to give, Petunia just might be your perfect match.
