Buddy II is a courtesy listing, not in the AARF foster program, and we are posting online to help the owner find a home for them. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply. Buddy is a big, goofy sweetheart who will chase a ball all day long and then happily offer you his whole heart. This two and a half year old Lab/Pointer mix weighs about 52 pounds and has a pair of adorable brown eyes that make it hard to resist. He is happy, enthusiastic, and full of energy, and once he bonds with his person, he is a total love who wants to play, cuddle, and be best friends. He might even enjoy agility or flyball, since he could chase a ball from sunrise to sunset. He is learning fetch and give, and he already knows sit and shake. Working on "no jump" is in progress, and he is eager to learn with treats in hand. Buddy is housetrained and can go several hours between potty breaks. He seems to have been crate trained at some point, and he stays calm in his crate at home and in the car. He walks nicely on a leash around the yard. His previous owner spent a lot of time in and out of the hospital, so Buddy spent many hours at home on his own and got used to relaxing on the furniture. He will need a little patience if the new family has different house rules. Buddy gets nervous around other dogs and would be happiest as the only pet. He has lots of enthusiasm for new people and is a big boy, so he would do best with teens, older kids, or active adults who can handle his exuberant greetings.
