In the shelter’s words
Licorice was rescued as a stray kitten from Philadelphia with her siblings. She is very sweet and loves to play. Licorice has been spayed, received her 1st FVRCP vaccine, has been dewormed, tested negative for feline leukemia but positive for FIV and microchipped. Her siblings tested positive for FIV too so this means that they are carrying the antibodies from their FIV positive mother. It takes about 6 months for the antibodies to go away so they will have to be retested at that time. At this point they should test negative, keep in mind they are just testing positive because they have the antibodies from the mom not the actual virus. To adopt Licorice please complete the online application at www.fourthepaws.org or you can see her at the Newtown Petsmart adoption center located at 2600 S Eagle Rd. Her adoption fee is $75.

We have a brief application an interested adopter needs to complete, we ask for a veterinary & personal reference. The adoption fee is $100 or $115 if the animal is microchipped, all animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, free of fleas, dewormed, and tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV. Once an application is approved the adopter fills out our adoption agreement and pays the adoption fee at the time of adoption (cash or check).
