I am the kind of cat who has to be sure. I am Blissy — black as midnight, quiet as a held breath — and I do not give my trust away. Not because I am broken. Not because I don't want connection. But because I understand that real tenderness is something you build, and I am not willing to cheapen it. Right now I stay small. I find my corner, my safe place, my silence. I watch the world from a careful distance and I wait to understand it. I am not dramatic about this. I don't howl or hide forever — I simply take my time, and I ask you to take yours with me. Other cats? I understand them. We speak the same language of slow blinks and quiet coexistence. The feline world makes sense to me, and I move through it gently. What I need from you is patience that doesn't feel like pressure. Presence that doesn't demand performance. I need you to sit near me and let that be enough — because it is enough, and eventually I will show you that I know it too. Because here is what I know about myself: I do come around. Slowly, on my own timeline, in my own way — I will let you in. A hesitant sniff. A slow blink. And then one quiet evening, your hand will reach toward me and I will not move away.
