In the shelter’s words

Elvis underwent life-saving amputation surgery and began a long journey of healing. Through every setback and triumph, he’s shown incredible resilience. But while his body has healed, his heart still carries the cautious imprint of his past. Elvis is extremely shy and prefers to coexist quietly with his humans. He’s what we lovingly call a “house feral”, he’s not looking for cuddles or laps, and he’ll run from new people or anyone who tries to pick him up. That said, Elvis has his own language of trust. Bring out his favorite wand toys or treats, and you’ll see him come alive, zooming, leaping, and playing with joy. He’s fine being in the same room as you, but if you approach him directly, he’ll dart away. Patience is key, and for those willing to go slow, Elvis will reward you with playful antics and quiet companionship. Elvis absolutely adores other cats. He lights up around feline friends, chatting, chasing, and getting the zoomies with joy. A home with a confident, playful cat would be ideal for him. If you don’t have one, consider adopting one of his furriends to help him feel safe and supported. Elvis may never be a cat you cradle like a baby, but he’s a soul worth knowing. If you’re a patient, compassionate person who understands that love can be quiet and trust takes time, Elvis might just be the cat who teaches you the beauty of slow magic. Are you ready to give Elvis the second chance he so deserves? Reach out to us today and let's make Elvis' happily ever after a reality. Fill out an adoption application today. Elvis is approved for Foster to Adopt. **WTRF does not do single kitten adoptions, unless you have a kitten of similar age already in the home. We also do NOT break up bonded pairs. **WTRF only adopts locally, and does not do out of state adoptions If you would like to see more of our available cats or kittens and their full profiles, please click here to be brought to our Available Cats page Follow us on our Social Media: Facebook and Instagram
