In the shelter’s words
Name: Melody Birthdate: December 18, 2024 Breed: Lab Mix Expected Adult Weight: ~40 pounds Bio: Melody’s life began in the shadows of an abandoned property in Lakehills, but her spirit has always been full of light. It took two weeks of careful work to rescue Melody and her siblings, but once safe, Melody’s true personality burst through — sweet, playful, and ready to steal hearts. This little girl adores children, splashes happily in the water, and never says no to a good game of chase. She dreams of long walks, hiking adventures, and cozy evenings snuggled next to her favorite humans. Melody also loves making friends with other dogs and would thrive in a lively home filled with laughter, playtime, and affection. Melody is simply missing one thing: a forever family to call her own. She hopes she won't have to grow up in a shelter — she’s ready to fill a home with joy, kisses, and tail wags. If you're searching for a sweet, energetic companion, Melody might be your perfect match. You can apply to adopt her at www.adoggie4you.org. Her adoption fee is $250 Melody is currently in Texas but can be transported to approved states for an additional $250 transport fee. (Please note: we do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.) Don't miss your chance to welcome this little ray of sunshine into your life! ❤️

Adoption application is required. Applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. A picture of your home or yard may be requested All dogs and puppies are fully vetted prior to adoption (spay/neuter, rabies, 3 DHPP, bordetella and heartworm test/treat if positive) and are micro-chipped. Our fees start at $200, transport out of Texas is arranged by us and is generally an additional $200. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet. Our contract requires if an adoption does not work out the dog is to be returned to us. We need at least two weeks notice.
