In the shelter’s words

**All adoptions include a home visit. You must live in Broward or Palm Beach County. **Lula Chihuahua Poodle Mix · 10 Years Old · 8 lbsMeet Lula, a chocolate and marshmallow coated Chihuahua-Poodle mix whose DNA results confirmed what anyone who meets her already suspects that she is something genuinely special. At ten years old and eight delicious pounds, she has the warm, settled personality that only comes with a little life experience, and she is ready to spend the next chapter completely adored.Lula is a snuggler at heart. She will find the coziest spot, the softest blanket, and the warmest person in the room, and she will make herself right at home there. But do not let that fool you into thinking she is all nap and no adventure. When her leash comes out, so does her pep, and she walks with the cheerful, purposeful energy of a dog who genuinely enjoys her outings and wants you to enjoy them too. She is the perfect companion for someone who loves a good walk and a little social time.Lula came to us with slightly elevated kidney levels, something we caught early and are already getting ahead of. She does not require a prescription diet, but we have proactively placed her on a thoughtful, natural food regimen with targeted supplements to keep her feeling her absolute best for years to come. We are looking for an adopter who will lovingly continue this routine, because Lula deserves someone who takes her whole health seriously, and she will give back every bit of that care in snuggles and devotion. She does beautifully with calm, gentle dog companions and genuinely thrives when her person is home often. Lula is not looking for a revolving door, she is looking for her person, her place, and her forever soft spot on the sofa. If you are someone who has slowed down just enough to truly appreciate a sweet, soulful little dog who will love you with everything she has, Lula has been waiting for exactly you. This dog's adoption fee is $350 to go toward their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed). If you are interested, please fill out the adoption application. For additional information regarding our adoption process, please check our FAQ's Page. All dogs in the care of Get a Life Pet Rescue live in loving foster homes while waiting for their perfect match. They are never kept in cages or crates unless there is a medical reason, and they are treated as family pets throughout their time with us. Our rescues are fed premium brand holistic wet food diets along with supplements and vitamins tailored to each dog's individual needs. Every dog in our care receives complete quality vetting, including full dental cleaning with pre-op blood work, spay/neuter, vaccines, and grooming.
