In the shelter’s words
Well, cluck, cluck, cluck! The name's Dock, and I'm ready to dock myself right into my forever home! This handsome fella is ready to make his own way in the world! Now, I may not be a boat, but I'm certainly hoping to find a safe harbor of my own! Somewhere I can stretch my legs, scratch around in the dirt, search for tasty little treats, and enjoy the simple pleasures of chicken life. A good patch of ground to explore and a cozy, secure place to roost sound pretty wonderful to me! So, what do you say? Is there room at your roost for a fellow named Dock? I'm ready to pull into port, settle in, and find my happily ever after. All I need is someone willing to give this rooster a chance! Call 831-373-2631 to set an appointment, or meet me at the SPCA Barn today! The SPCA strongly encourages Adoption Holds to ensure I will be waiting to meet you when you arrive. The barn is closed for lunch from 12pm - 1pm.

Plan a visit with the source organization
1. Visit the SPCA at 1002 Monterey-Salinas Highway across from Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. 2. Visit with the pet you are interested in adopting to see if his personality fits your lifestyle. If you are adopting a dog, you can meet him in one of our new dog condo rooms or play in one of our play yards. 3. Complete family introductions (every member of the family living in the house with the animal must meet and visit with the animal prior to adoption to ensure a happy fit for everyone). 4. If you are adopting a new dog and already have one at home, our animal care staff will assist you with introducing your current dog to the dog you are hoping to adopt to ensure a good match. 5. The SPCA adoption process takes approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. All paperwork, vaccination records, and microchip information will be provided at this time. Adoption fees range from $20 to $290. 6. Take your new lifelong family member home!
